Fort Bullen Festival was a wonderful experience. We were encouraged to take part and in doing so felt really part of it, not just onlookers. We were well looked after by our local guest house owner, and welcomed by the people of Barra. Meeting local people, and being invited to their compounds was a real privilege. I’ve never had a holiday like it. What with Safari trips, local heritage visits, bird watching, swimming and fishing there is always something to do. And I haven’t mentioned the markets yet!
